WSAZ reports that the incident happened at about 8:45 a.m. on 20th Street, between 5th and 6th Avenue. According to police, an SUV was travelling on the roadway when its driver lost control and the vehicle crashed into a curb. It then collided into a utility pole guide wire and overturned. The SUV landed upside-down in the middle of 20th street.
The woman that was driving the SUV was trapped in her vehicle when emergency response crews came to her aid at the scene. Crews were able to free her and transport her to the emergency room, where she was treated for unknown injuries.
The woman’s name has not yet been revealed to the public.
The crash is under ongoing investigation by authorities in Huntington.
