WDTV reports that the accident happened at about 8:00 a.m. off of Cedar Drive. Police said that the woman was driving a food delivery van when she apparently lost control and struck the Pre-K Valley 2 Program building.
There were 19 children in the room when the van crashed into the wall. None of the children were injured.
The van’s driver had to be transported to Preston Memorial Hospital immediately following the accident. There has been no word on the extent of her injuries.
School for the children was cancelled Thursday and Friday. Officials said that they are working to get the children back in school by Monday.
The cause of the accident remains unclear. Local authorities continue to investigate the crash.
