WDTV reports that the accident happened at about 8:50 a.m. on Randolph Street, between Ritchie Street and Marion Street. Very little details are available about this accident and how it occurred. What is known is that the woman was walking the streets when she was struck by the vehicle.
The victim was injured and had to be transported to a local hospital via helicopter. The extent of her injuries is unknown at this time.
The identities of the woman and the driver of the vehicle that struck her have not yet been released to the public.
There has been no word on whether or not charges have been filed in connection with this crash. Investigations are being handled by officials with the Buckhannon Police Department.
