November 21, 2011 - Huntington, W.Va. - A woman was hospitalized after she was struck by a pickup truck on Saturday night, November 19.
WSAZ reports that the accident occurred at about 9:15 p.m. on 5th Avenue, close by 21st Street. According to officials with the Huntington Police, the woman seems to have been attempting to walk across the street when she was hit by an oncoming pickup truck.
The woman was injured in the accident. She was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. Her medical condition is unknown, but officials said that her injuries appear to be non-life threatening.
The identities of the injured woman and the driver that hit her have not yet been released to the public. There has been no word on whether or not charges will be filed in connection with this accident.
The crash is under the stages of investigation by local authorities.
