Tanker Truck Loses Control Causing 1-68 Wreck

September 9, 2010 - Morgantown, WV - The driver of a Penn Line tanker truck was hospitalized after he lost control of his vehicle and crashed on I-68.

Channel 12 News reports that the Monongalia County Sheriff's Department is still investigating the truck accident which occurred around 1 p.m. on September 9. The driver was traveling eastbound on I-68 when he apparently lost control of the tanker truck.

The truck crossed the median and entered the westbound lanes near the Sabraton exit. It avoided striking any other vehicles and crashed into the surrounding woods. The truck driver was transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital, but his name and condition have not been released as police continue to investigate what caused the truck driver to lose control.
