One Injured When Truck Overturns in Cabell County

June 6, 2011 - Huntington, W.Va. - A person was sent to the hospital after a truck overturned in a field in Cabell County Sunday morning.

According to WBOY, the car accident happened at about 11:30 a.m. Sunday on the 900 block of Raccoon Creek Road in Cabell County. The truck was driving on the roadway when its driver apparently lost control of the vehicle, causing it to crash in a nearby hay field. The truck overturned several times in the hay field.

One person was injured in the car accident. That person was immediately taken to a local hospital for treatment. The medical condition of the injured person is unknown at this time. The injured person's identity has not yet been released.

The truck was the only vehicle involved in the accident and no other injuries have been reported. Whether or not there were other people in the vehicle at the time of the accident is unclear.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's 2009 West Virginia Crash Statistics show that there were 356 fatalities as a result of car accidents in West Virginia.
