WBOY reports that the accident happened shortly before 10 a.m. at a Custard Stand. Officials said that a truck crashed into the Custard Stand’s warehouse while there were employees inside the building.
One of the employees was reported to be injured in the accident. The employee was rushed to Ruby Memorial hospital to seek medical treatment. The injured person has since undergone surgery and has been listed in stable condition.
Whether or not the truck driver was injured in the accident is unclear. The people involved in the incident have not yet been publically identified. Custard Stand officials said that the warehouse was significantly damaged in the accident.
The cause of the accident remains to be resolved. The accident is under ongoing investigation by the Department of Transportation.
