Crum Car Accident near Route 52 Ends in Fatality

October 10, 2011 - Crum, W.Va. - A person was fatally injured in a car accident on Friday night, October 7.

According to a news report from WBOY, the accident occurred at around 9:30 p.m. off of Route 52, on Jennies Creek Road. The exact details of how the car accident occurred are not yet available to the public. The number of vehicles involved in the accident is also unknown.

It has been concluded that one person sustained fatal injuries in the accident and he or she was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim's identity is being withheld from the public at the moment.

Whether or not any other people were injured as a result of this car accident is unclear. So far no other injuries or fatalities have been brought forth.

The reason behind the accident remains to be unknown as it is currently in the stages of investigation and are being handled by West Virginia State Police.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's 2009 West Virginia Crash Statistics show that there were 356 fatalities as a result of car accidents in West Virginia.
