The Charleston Gazette states that the incident happened at about 8:30 p.m. on Route 85. Reports indicate that 2 women were walking along the roadway when they were struck by an oncoming vehicle.
Both of the women were injured in the accident. They had to be sent to CAMC Hospital for medical treatment. Their medical conditions are unknown at this time.
The identities of the injured women and the driver that hit them have not yet been released to the public.
There has been no word on whether or not charges will be filed in relation with this accident. The accident is under the stages of investigation by local authorities.
