The incident happened just before 12:30 p.m. on Corridor G along Route 119, near Olive Branch Church. Officials said that a truck crashed on the roadway and overturned 6 or 7 times. The driver was ejected from the vehicle as it rolled.
The driver, whose identity has not yet been released, was airlifted to a local hospital immediately following the accident. His injuries are said to be serious.
A passenger in the truck was also injured. The extent of the passenger’s injuries is unknown.
A northbound lane on Route 119 was blocked to traffic for a period of time following the crash. All lanes have since been reopened. There has been no word on whether or not charges will be filed in connection with this accident.
