May 6, 2011 - Randolph County, W.Va. - Several people were injured Thursday when a school bus was involved in an accident in Randolph County.
WDTV reports that the school bus crash in Randolph County occurred at about 4 p.m. Thursday on Lambert Road off of Route 33 near Harman. According to officials on the scene, the school bus collided with a delivery truck on the roadway. Further details concerning how the crash occurred are not available at this time.
The accident is said to have resulted in 11 minor injuries. Six people had to be transported to Davis Memorial Hospital for evaluation. The condition of those 6 people is unknown at this time.
How many students were among the injured is not known.
The driver of the school bus received a citation. The driver's identity has not yet been released.
The cause of the accident remains to be determined. The accident is under ongoing investigation by West Virginia State Police.
