The accident happened at around 12:15 p.m. on Interstate 77 near the Kanawha City Exit. Officials with the West Virginia State Police Department said that the pickup truck was driving in the slow lane on the northbound side of the interstate when its driver attempted to make a U-turn.
The truck was then hit by a Mac truck hauling a bulldozer. The impact sent both trucks into the southbound lanes of the interstate.
The 2 women that were in the pickup truck were injured in the crash. Both women were taken to a nearby hospital immediately following the accident. There has been no word on the extent of their injuries.
The driver of the Mac truck wasn’t injured in the accident.
The names of those involved in the crash have not yet been revealed.
