Woman Injured in SUV Accident in Kanawha County

February 4, 2011 - Kanawha County, W.Va. - One woman was hurt Thursday morning when her vehicle crashed into a ditch in Kanawha County.

WSAZ reports that the accident occurred at about 7 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of Rocky Branch Road and Route 119 in Kanawha County. According to the article, an SUV was travelling along the roadway when the driver evidently lost control of the vehicle.

When emergency crews arrived on the scene, they found the SUV on its side and in a ditch. One woman was injured in the accident. The extent of her injuries is unknown at this time.

The identity of the injured woman has not yet been released. Whether or not anyone else was in the vehicle at the time of the accident is also unknown. The cause of the SUV accident in Kanawha County remains to be determined.

The northbound lane of Route 119 just north of the Kanawha-Lincoln County line was closed to traffic for some time following the accident as crews cleaned up and investigated the nature of the accident.
