Woman Dies in Rollover Accident on I-64 Near Lewisburg

March 17, 2011 - Lewisburg W.V. - One person was killed in a single-vehicle rollover accident on Monday morning. WBOY reports that the fatal car accident occurred shortly before 6 a.m. on Monday near Lewisburg in Greenbrier County.

Deputies with the Greenbrier County Sheriff's Department are investigating this fatal crash. Their initial report indicates that the vehicle was traveling on Interstate 64 near Lewisburg when the driver lost control. The car rolled over several times before coming to rest on the side of the Interstate near mile marker 180.

There was only one person in the car at the time of the accident, and deputies say she was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim has been identified as Leslie Rose King, 37, from Maryland. No other vehicles were involved in this crash, and no additional injuries were reported.

The Greenbrier Sheriff's Department is still investigating to determine what caused the victim to lose control of her vehicle. More information will be given if and when it becomes available.
