Victim Hospitalized after Two-Car Collision in Charleston

October 19, 2010 - Charleston, W.Va. - One person was sent to the hospital Saturday night after a car accident in Charleston.

WSAZ reports that the crash occurred at around 10 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Jefferson Road and Cramer Street in Charleston. According to dispatchers, two vehicles were involved in the accident.

One person was injured in the crash. The victim was transported to CAMC General Hospital. The medical condition of the injured person is not known at this time. The name of the injured person has also not yet been released.

Investigations have not yet revealed the cause of the accident. No other vehicles were involved and no other people were injured.

Dispatchers stated that the roadway was closed down for about an hour following the accident. Emergency crews were on the scene immediately following the accident.

Investigations into the accident and its cause are ongoing.
