Two Injured in Single-Vehicle Accident in Bridgeport on Route 131

February 14, 2011 - Bridgeport, W.Va. - Two people were sent to the hospital early Sunday morning after a vehicle crashed in Bridgeport.

WBOY reports that the accident happened at 2:31 a.m. Sunday in the area of Route 131 in Bridgeport. Details concerning the nature of the crash are not readily available at this time.

Dispatchers stated that two people were thrown from the vehicle when it crashed. Both people received injuries in the crash and had to be transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital. The extent of the injuries of either person is unknown at this time.

The identities of those involved in the single-vehicle accident have not yet been released.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash and there were no further injuries.

The cause of the accident remains to be determined. The accident is under ongoing investigation. All further investigations are being handled by the Bridgeport Police Department.
