December 29, 2010 - Lost Creek, W.Va. - A Christmas Day crash sent 2 children to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
According to a news report from WBOY.com, the accident occurred at about 4 p.m. on Dec. 25 near Lost Creek.
Authorities have said that the accident occurred when a vehicle with an unnamed number of occupants-but at least 2 children of unspecified age or relation-was forced off of the road by an oncoming vehicle. The news report indicates that the driver of the crashed vehicle was "trying to avoid" the second vehicle.
Two children in the crashed car sustained injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital to assess the extent of their accident injuries. Fortunately, authorities have said that the children did not suffer serious or life-threatening injuries.
At this time, there is no detail about the names, ages or hometown of the victims involved in the Christmas Day crash in Lost Creek. Additionally, it has not been made clear whether the driver of the second vehicle stayed on the scene or if they failed to stop. There is no word on any charges being filed in connection with the accident.
Police are likely continuing to investigate the incident. Nutter Fort and Anmoore Fire Departments were on the scene of the accident.
