Teen Pedestrian Victim Hospitalized after Being Struck by Car in Huntington

October 22, 2010 - Huntington, W.Va. - A teen was struck by a car Wednesday and had to be transported to the hospital.

WBOY reports that the incident occurred on Wednesday evening in the 4100 block of Waverly Road in Huntington. The teenager was walking when he or she was struck by a vehicle. No further information about how the pedestrian accident occurred has been made available to the public.

Officials stated that the teen received injuries in the accident. He or she was transported to St. Mary's Medical Center. The medical condition of the teenager is unknown at this time.

Details concerning the names, ages or genders of those involved in the accident are yet to be released. The teenager was the only person injured in the accident.

The pedestrian crash remains under investigation by officers of the Huntington Police Department.
