Previous Medical Condition May Have Led to Fatal Route 25 Crash

December 1, 2010 - Harrison County, W.Va. - One man died Sunday evening when his vehicle crashed into a utility pole off of Route 25.

WDTV reports that the fatal vehicle accident happened at around 8:30 p.m. Sunday in Harrison County. Lloyd Frazier, 42, of Mount Clare, apparently lost control of his vehicle and caused the vehicle to run off of the roadway. The vehicle then crashed into a utility pole.

According to deputies of the Harrison County Sheriff's Department, Frazier died on the scene of the accident.

No other vehicles were involved in the fatal crash and there were no further injuries.

The Route 25 accident remains under investigation by the Harrison County Sheriff's Department. Deputies believe that Frazier may have had a previous medical condition, which may have been the cause of the wreck.

The Harrison County Sheriff's Department, Harrison County EMS and Mount Clare Fire Department were all on the scene in response to the crash.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's 2009 West Virginia Crash Statistics show that there were 356 fatalities as a result of car accidents in West Virginia.
