Police Search for Missing Victim of SUV Rollover Accident in Marion County

November 26, 2010 - Marion County, W.Va. - A person is missing after being thrown from his or her vehicle in a roll-over crash Monday night.

WDTV reports that the SUV rollover accident happened at about 10 p.m. Monday on Serene Drive in Pleasant Valley. According to deputies of the Marion County Sheriff's Department, the SUV was travelling down the roadway when its driver evidently lost control of the vehicle.

The SUV swerved off of the road, collided with an embankment and crashed into a tree. Police stated that the SUV rolled more than 50 feet.

One person is said to have been ejected from the SUV as it was flipping. However, when first responders arrived on the scene there was no one to be found.

The cause of the wreck is yet to be determined.

Searches for the missing person are ongoing. The SUV accident remains under investigation by the Marion County Sheriff's Department.
