Man Injured In Single Car Accident in Beverly

July 27, 2010 - Beverly, W. Va. - One man was injured early Sunday morning in a single car accident in Beverly.

WDTV reports that the single vehicle accident happened at around 3:30 a.m. Sunday, when Aaron Kittle was driving his Ford Focus southbound through Beverley. He reportedly took a sharp turn and lost control of his vehicle.

Officials stated that Kittle struck a tree and caused the vehicle to roll. The car was heavily damaged. Rescue workers were forced to use the Jaws of Life to extract Kittle from the vehicle.

Kittle suffered leg injuries in the Beverly crash. He was flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital by HealthNet.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's 2008 West Virginia Crash Statistics show that there were 380 fatalities as a result of car accidents in West Virginia.
