Man Injured after Truck Flips in Anmoore Car Accident on I-79

August 3, 2010 - Anmoore, W. Va. - A truck flipped over in an auto accident on Interstate 79 Monday morning.

WBOY reports that the accident occurred near mile marker 118, just before 10:30 a.m. Monday. A man driving a JS Allen truck lost control of his vehicle just prior to the truck flipping over.

The driver of the truck was transported by HealthNet to Ruby Memorial Hospital. At this time, the man's condition is unknown.

According to State Police troopers, tools from the back of the truck were strewn all across the scene of the accident. The truck suffered considerable damage in the I-79 crash.

The Anmoore Fire Department, Clarksburg Fire Department, Anmoore EMS and the Harrison County EMS all responded to the accident on I-79. The crash is currently under investigation by State Police.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's 2008 West Virginia Crash Statistics show that there were 380 fatalities as a result of car accidents in West Virginia.
