November 15, 2010 - McDowell County, W.Va. - One man lost his life over the weekend when his ATV fell from Crumpler Mountain.
WBOY reports that a 23-year-old man was driving on Crumpler Mountain at the time of the fatal ATV accident. For reasons unknown, the man's ATV drove off of the mountain and crashed more than 120 feet below.
The man was pronounced dead on the scene. The man's identity has not yet been released. However, the man is believed to have been from out of state. No other people were involved in the ATV accident and there were no further injuries.
According to McDowell County 911 dispatchers, Crumpler Mountain is located in the town of Crumpler, close to the North Folk area.
The cause of the ATV accident is yet to be determined. The accident remains under ongoing investigation.
