Man Dies After Being Ejected During Rollover Crash on I-68

December 6, 2010 - Monongalia County, W.Va. - A single-vehicle accident on Sunday morning has left 4 people injured and 1 dead.

WDTV reports that the fatal vehicle accident happened early Sunday morning on Interstate 68. A pick-up truck was traveling on the interstate when its driver evidently lost control of the vehicle. The truck then crashed into the median, struck the cable barrier, and rolled over two times before it finally came to a stop.

According to deputies of the Monongalia County Sheriff's Department, the driver of the truck at the time of the accident received only minor injuries in the crash, for which he refused to be treated on the scene.

Three female passengers in the crashed vehicle were transported to a local hospital immediately following the accident. All 3 women are said to have received non-life-threatening injuries.

The fourth passenger in the truck, a 33-year-old man, had been riding in the front seat of the vehicle at the time of the accident. The man was thrown from the vehicle during the crash. He later died from his injuries.
