Head On Collision on Montrose Drive in Charleston Sends 3 to the Hospital

March 28, 2011 - Charleston, W.Va. - Three people were sent to the hospital Saturday when two vehicles collided head on in South Charleston.

WBOY reports that the accident happened at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday in the area of 516 Montrose Drive in South Charleston. A pick-up truck collided head on with a car on the roadway. Further details concerning the nature of the accident are not available at this time.

Three people were injured in the crash. Dispatchers stated that two of the injured people were taken to CAMC General Hospital for treatment and one was taken to Thomas Memorial Hospital. The medical conditions of the injured people are unknown.

The identities of the injured victims have not yet been released.

No other vehicles were involved in the head on accident and there were no further injuries.

The cause of the accident remains to be determined. The accident is under ongoing investigation.
