Charleston Pedestrian Accident Sends One Victim to the Hospital

August 23, 2010 - Charleston, W. Va. - A woman was struck by a vehicle while walking along Washington Street early Saturday evening.

WBOY reports that the Charleston pedestrian accident occurred at about 6 p.m. The woman was taken to Charleston General Hospital immediately following the accident.

Further details concerning the pedestrian crash are unknown at this time. The woman's identity, age, and medical condition have not been officially released. However, one dispatcher stated that the woman was "hit pretty hard" and that she was in "real bad condition."

The accident remains under investigation.
