2 Men Seriously Injured After Crashing ATV into Utility Pole in Wilsonburg

October 13, 2010 - Wilsonburg, W.Va. - Two young men were airlifted to the hospital Sunday evening after an ATV crash in Wilsonburg.

WBOY reports that the crash took place at around 8 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Wilsonburg Road and Sardis Road. According to officials, 2 men were on the ATV at the time of the accident. The ATV reportedly collided with a utility pole at the intersection.

The two men were described to be in their late teens to early 20s. Both were injured in the ATV accident. The two were transported by medical helicopter to a local hospital. The medical condition of either man is unknown at this time.

The names of the young men are yet to be released.

Wilsonburg Road had to be closed off for an hour or more while crews worked to clean up the scene and investigate. The ATV accident remains under investigation.
