1 Injured in Wyoming County Motorcycle Accident

July 26, 2010 - Mullins, W. Va. - A motorcycle accident in Wyoming County has sent one person to the hospital.

WBOY reports that the accident happened on Saturday, July 24, along Route 16. According to emergency dispatchers, the motorcycle crashed just after 4 p.m.

There was only one person on the motorcycle. The victim was transported by medical helicopter to Charleston Area Medical Center. At this time, there is no word as to the condition of the motorcycle crash victim.

The Wyoming County Sheriff's Department, the Mullins Fire Department and Jan Care Ambulance responded to the crash. All further investigations into the accident will be handled by the Wyoming County Sheriff's Department.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's 2008 West Virginia Crash Statistics show that there were 380 fatalities as a result of car accidents in West Virginia.
