1 Injured in 3-Vehicle Crash in Marion County on Route 250

November 22, 2010 - Marion County, W.Va. - One person was sent to the hospital following a crash on Sunday afternoon.

WDTV reports that the crash occurred on Route 250, close to Farmington, on Sunday afternoon. According to officials on the scene, a red truck crossed the center line on the roadway, veering into the opposite lane of traffic. The red truck then collided head on with an SUV. A truck that was driving behind the SUV also crashed in an attempt to avoid the wreck.

The driver of the SUV received injuries in the crash. This person was taken to Fairmont General Hospital. The medical condition of the driver is unknown at this time.

The identities of those involved in the accident are yet to be released.

The cause of the accident remains to be determined. The accident is under continued investigation.

The Farmington Fire Department and the Marion County Sheriff's Department were on the scene in response to the accident.
